The manpage pipewire.conf.5.gz is installed in the wrong man section (man1), therefore ignored by mandb while indexing with the message: "Updating index cache for path `/usr/share/man/man1'. Wait...mandb: warning: /usr/share/man/man1/pipewire.conf.5.gz: ignoring bogus filename" pipewire.conf.5.gz should be installed to /usr/share/man/man5. Steps to reproduce: Manually run mandb and look for stderr messages, while the index for the manpages is created. Afterwards use apropos or the short equivalent 'man -k pipewire'. If it's installed to the right man section it lists "pipewire.conf (5)". |
