Description:
I use a HP USB C dock (https://smile.amazon.de/HP-1MK33AA-ABB-USB-C-Universal/dp/B076F6YJWS). It includes a realtek nic (via USB) and Arch doesn't ship the driver for it.

I checked with a self compiled kernel and r8152 is the driver I need. I enabled CONFIG_USB_RTL8152=m during the kernel build and it works.

Additional info:
4.18.16-arch1-1-ARCH

Steps to reproduce:
Attach USB C dock and have no network interface popping up.
