https://www.archlinux.org/check_network_status.txt is down. This is used to test the network status, and if that returns an error applications that use it fail or exhibit strange behaviour. NetworkManager uses it in /usr/lib/NetworkManager/conf.d/20-connectivity.conf. Because of this some apps (like GNOME Maps) cannot work because they use it to check the network status. |

It works fine but it is http-only, so you need something that doesn't respect HSTS, i.e. your browser is an unreliable test.
