DetailsHi,
I'm having problems with fbdev driver after updating xorg-server from 1.20.1-1 to 1.20.2-1. In 1.20.1-1, I can start the server without any major o minor problems, but, when updated to 1.20.2-1, the server fail to start with "(EE) Diveice(s) detected, but none match those in the config file." and "(EE) No screen foubd", but I'm sure that I have the screen configured en my xorg.conf file. I actually downgraded to 1.20.1-1. Logs and config file in attach. Note: xorg.conf was generated by "X -configure" Additional info: * xorg-server with problems: 1.12.2-1 * lastest xorg-server that works: 1.12.1-1 * xf86-video-fbdev version: 0.5.0-1 * uname -a: Linux ATENAS 4.18.14-arch1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Oct 13 13:42:37 UTC 2018 x86_64 GNU/Linux * lspci | grep VGA: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. CN896/VN896/P4M900 [Chrome 9 HC] (rev 01) Note 2: I'm not using the openchrome drive because it was impossible for me start a server with that driver. Same for modesetting (/dev/dri/card0 don't exist in my /dev folder). Vesa drive show a weird screen tearing. Fbdev is the unique driver that work for me. Steps to reproduce: * Update to xorg-server 1.12.1-1 to 1.12.2-1 * Run xinit or startx |
This task depends upon
xorg.conf
2. I needed to add iomem=relaxed to the kernel command line to use the Openchrome driver, so it could be worth a try.
