DetailsOn Gnome the application icon is not displayed in the dash or the application list.
It seems that the fix for #57556 was a bit hasty as adding the ".svg" back to the icon path fixes this issue on Gnome. The specification on desktop entries (https://standards.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/desktop-entry-spec-latest.html) says about the Icon key that "If the name is an absolute path, the given file will be used." This means that the current value is violating this standard as it is an absolute path but not a valid file. To confirm with the standard and fix this issue on Gnome, ".svg" should be added back. It seems that this originally is a bug in Plasma. Additional info: Package version: 4.4.1-1 Desktop environment: gnome-shell 3.30.0 |
