Detailstup 0.7.8 now uses PCRE (https://github.com/gittup/tup/commit/9dcdb75201a8b4e5a4933b08ccdf463de6ac5c1f ), but this dependency is missing from the current PKGBUILD.

Technically, sure, but it's a dep of grep, which is in the requirement tree for linux. There's very little chance you have a system without it.
