I recently installed xcdroast 0.98alpha15-3
When I tried to run it a pop-up appeared saying I needed to run it as root first.
I tried to run it as root but I got an error:

[root@lynn ~]# xcdroast

** (xcdroast:24668): WARNING **: Failed to access cdrecord. Please check the permissions and ownership of /usr/bin/cdrecord

[root@lynn ~]# ls -l /usr/bin/cdrecord
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 5 2006-12-16 18:06 /usr/bin/cdrecord -> wodim

I'm using cdrkit 1.1.0-1

Anyone know what the problem is? Thanks.

does replacing cdrkit with cdrtools help?
Comment by Loui Chang (louipc) - Tuesday, 19 December 2006, 23:13 GMT
Yep I installed cdrtools-devel-2.01a38-1 from the unstable repo and it seems to work.

I would have thought that it should work with cdrkit since cdrtools was replaced eh?

cdrkit was designed as in-place replacement for cdrtools. It should work. Maybe this is a mainstream bug. :-/

xcdroast patched should work now
