DetailsAfter upgrade on 15-Dec-06, setting the ESSID via iwconfig, the last character is stripped from the supplicant name. This renders the scripts to restart the network automatically not-functional. More details are here: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?p=215438#215438, and here: http://lists.shmoo.com/pipermail/hostap/2006-October/014284.html
For the moment, one must include a space in the name, with the supplicant name in quotes. The quotes and space are what apparently interfering with the scripts in /etc/network-profiles. |
