Description:
The icon for Settings in Gnome 3.30 is very bad quality. Additional info: This probably has something to do with the Adwaita icon package. Gnome tweaks extensions disabled, fresh install of archlinux. See attached screenshot. Steps to reproduce: open overview and search for settings. |

Old gnome-icon-theme ships a gnome-control-center icon but at some point the icons were moved from adwaita-icon-theme to gnome-control-center itself, which ships the icons in "hicolor".
You could file an upstream bug in GTK to remove the "gnome" fallback, which would solve this.
