The "Wine" entry in the applications menu in xfce4 is missing as you can see in the screenshot. The corresponding .directory file (~/.local/share/desktop-directories/wine-wine.directory) sets "wine" as an icon, which might not exist:

Type=Directory
Name=Wine
Icon=wine

It seems wine doesn't carry an icon for itself. If your icon theme has that icon it will be supported. What would you suggest instead?

In our repos only three icon themes (breeze, faenza, papirus) has support for that icon and it doesn't seem correct to depend on either of them. Probably someone can make wine upstream to provide one.

Do you think the right way would be wine upstream to provide an icon? If yes, what's the right place to request this?
