Description:
After suspend to RAM, rotating display fails with a black screen and the following message in kernel log:

Additional info:
* Kernel 4.18.7-arch1-1-ARCH
* Gnome 3.28 using wayland
* HP Elite X2 1012 G1

Steps to reproduce:
* Start system
* Rotate to confirm rotation works
* Suspend system
* Resume system
* Rotate to confirm rotation does not work

It seems the current software no longer has this problem, don't know if it was a kernel or a gnome update.
