DetailsDescription:
The keyboard works fine in BIOS and grub menus, but doesn't respond with this kernel version. This first happened after a package update which included linux upgraded from 4.17.13.arch1-1 to 4.18.3.arch1-1. It was resolved by booting from USB and reverting the linux kernel (with dependencies including an nvidia driver). The issue is still present in "linux 4.18.5.arch1-1". Comparing boot logs, I notice that the later (failing) kernel loads "SONiX USB Keyboard", "SONiX USB Keyboard Consumer Control" and "SONiX USB Keyboard System Control", and a "redragon" driver. The working one Just lists "input: SONiX USB Keyboard" then hid-generic. The relevant section of the logs from both boots is attached, I can provide full boot logs if required. Steps to reproduce: pacman -Syu reboot - keyboard doesn't respond. |
