Description: When session is locked either using dm-tool or light-locker, lightdm greeter is functional (you can type your password and press Enter to unlock the session) but screen is not turned on, and remains turned off even when you move the mouse or press any key.

Although, it doesn't occur when you close your session instead locking it.

Additional info:
* xorg-server 1.20.1-1
* lightdm 1:1.26.0-1
* xfce4-session 4.12.1-8

Steps to reproduce:
* Start your session in Xfce desktop
* Lock this session
* Screen is turned off but not turned on when you move the mouse
* You can type the password and press Enter to unlock the session

Downgrade to xorg-server{,-common} 1.20.0-9 makes the screen works as expected when you lock your Xfce session.

Switching out and then switching back to tty7 restores visibility of the lock screen. I'm also on xfce4 using lightdm + light-locker.

I'm also observing the same behavior from lightdm with both dm-tool/light-locker. I'm using AwesomeWM instead of XFCE though.

xorg-server 1.20.1-1
lightdm 1:1.26.0-2
awesome 4.2-1

I've also noted that if i lock the session and then walk away (for a longer period of time), when I return moving the mouse or any other activity does display the lock screen.

same symptoms, with i3 switching to tty7 bypasses the lock screen entirely.....!

I can confirm this in my setup. Same xorg-server and lightdm version as TS.
Using dm-tools, light-locker, and slock result in the same situation.

The issue is also still present with xorg-server 1.20.3-1

I try to enable light-locker again with the last xorg-server upgrade (1.20.6-1) and issue seems to be not present anymore.
