Description:

After updating my kernel to 4.18.1, my USB mouse is no longer functional, the pointer does not move although the buttons and the scrolling remained functional. The mouse moves if I use the touchpad.

I dual boot Arch/NixOS and I have the same exact problem when the kernel got updated there as well, so this is definitely an issue upstream, filing it here for the record. See https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/45165
