When I want to associate xine with avi files - so kde opens avi files with xine instead of mplayer, I get this error:

"There was an error loading the module.

The diagnostics is:
Library files for "libkcm_crypto.la" not found in paths
Possible reasons:
An error occurred during your last KDE upgrade leaving an orphaned control module
You have old third party modules lying around.
Check these points carefully and try to remove the module mentioned in the error message. If this fails, consider contacting your distributor or packager."

I can't find anything about this in de kde bugtracker so I assume it's an arch problem :/
This bug appeared like 1 or 2 weeks ago after a pacman -Syu...

are you sure that it started "1 or 2 weeks ago"?

i'm aware of the problem form this post:
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=3342&highlight=libkcmcrypto+la
what seems to be the same ... and i solved this with kdebase 3.2.1-2 that is uploading right now

please confirm that this happened before we started openssl-update (2 days ago, and not 2 weeks ago)

I was pretty sure it's been longer than 2 days ago, but now that I'm thinking about it I can't say for sure, it might have only started friday

I guess we'll see if this new kdebase takes care of it :)

ok the new kdebase didn't quite fix it

Admitted, the error is gone, it does what it normally does when you associate a program with a filetype, but it doesn't work at all. It works for all file types except for avi's and mpg's.

My solution was to delete mplayer from that list so xine is the only program that can play those files, but it's not a nice solution.

However I feel this might be more a kde bug than arch related so I guess you can close this bug as resolved...

ok, but i'll reopen it if the new kde release has the same problem in it
