Description:
The claws mail package fails to build. The build fail with the following error. checking for library containing encrypt... no configure: error: 'encrypt'-function not found. ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). Aborting... I believe the problem come from glibc 2.28. According to https://www.sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/20188/msg00003.html glibc 2.28 doesn't support the encrypt function anymore; which is what claws-mail needs. Presumably the official package was build with an older version of glibc. Additional info: * package version(s) claws-mail 3.16.0.4 glibc 2.28-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: Download the source package for claws-mail, cd to its directory and issue "makepkg" |
