Description:

Since the update from version 11.1 to version 12.0, pulseaudio re-enables the built-in soundcard of my Lenovo Thinkpad T430, although it is disabled.

I use an external soundcard due to sound quality. The Built-in Audio () is manually set to "Off" in pavucontrol and the external soundcard is set to "Analog Stereo Output".

If

- the external soundcard is switched off (has no power)
- or the system was suspended / hibernated / rebooted

and any sound is played, Pulseaudio re-enables the Built-in Audio (which should stay "Off", because manually set to "Off").

The kernel module of the onboard audio device is snd_hda_intel.
