Description:

Recently, "gimp" started hanging during its startup splash ("querying new plug-ins") screen. I've linked logs from `strace gimp` below. It seems to repeatedly do it during "python-eval.py". Deleting .config/GIMP has no effect.

While troubleshooting, I reinstalled the `python` package (which shouldn't have mattered, since gimp uses `python2` related packages?), and now gimp doesn't even bring up the splash screen, or give any console output. Deleting .config/GIMP also has no effect.

Additional info:

* extra/gimp 2.10.4-2
* strace log https://ptpb.pw/CKL6.txt (also attached here)

Steps to reproduce:

*Run gimp
   2.txt (1.66 MiB)

Is it still valid for you?
