Description:

The .desktop file of qtcreator lacks the StartupWMClass field which is required by for example gnome to correclty map the window with the .desktop file (icon).
The bug was fixed upstream last year: https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/192324/2/packaging-tools/configurations/pkg_templates/pkg_tools/qt.tools.qtcreator/meta/installscript.qs

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install qtcreator package
2. Add qtcreator icon to GNOME Shell favourites
3. Launch qtcreator
4. See two icons in the gnome dock

That fix is for the binary installer, not for the desktop file provided in the source package that we use. Please report upstream.
