Since salt minion can quite easily log megabytes of data when master is unavailable I suggest to add logrotate configuration into salt package. Please note that Debian package salt-common also has such file included. Suggested contents of /etc/logrotate.d/salt: /var/log/salt/master /var/log/salt/minion { compress rotate 5 size 1024k notifempty missingok copytruncate } |
