ncmpc version 0.30-1 does not display the progress bar (time in song) correctly, but displays a black line instead. Both version 0.29-2 and ncmpc-git (from aur) show the bar correctly. The bug seems to be terminal-independent, since it can be reproduced in various terminal emulators (i tested xterm and urxvt) and on the tty.

Sorry but I cannot reproduce this issue. Could you please provide two screenshots showing intended behavior (with ncmpc-0.29-2 for instance) and faulty behavior?

Then we need to know how to fix the problem. Can you see if rebuilding the package does anything? Cheers.

Screenshots are attached. Interestingly the progress bar's style seems to have been changed upstream at some point, as you can see comparing the git version and the working 0.29-2 package.

Rebuilding the package doesn't help.

So I can reproduce this issue and found an easy fix: add `enable-colors = yes` to your ~/.ncmpc/config .

I'll backport the upstream fix.
