Description:
The package "geany" (although I have only tested x86_64, I suspect it applies to the x86 version as well) has an undocumented dependency on gdk-pixbuf. Correction: The required library resides in the "gdk-pixbuf2"
package.
Sounds more like an outdated glib2 package.
