Description:
There are useless files in /usr/share/factory. These are those related to users and groups (passwd, shadow, group, gshadow). There is a snippet in /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/arch.conf that is supposed to copy those files to /etc, but that can not ever get triggered since sysusers will create those files in /etc, before there is any chance to copy them. Additional info: * filesystem 2018.1-2 Steps to reproduce: * Install a bare bones system * Modify /usr/share/factory/shadow and set a root password * Make sure to delete /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow, ... . * Boot into that machine You will notice that the root password is not set as expected. |
