Detailsalias ls='ls --color=auto' causes /bin/ls segfaults in some directories.
Egg: $ pwd /var/abs/local $ ls Segmentation fault $ cd .. $ ls PKGBUILD.proto devel kernels network x11 base editors lib office x11-drivers community extra local system x11-libs daemons install.proto multimedia unstable $ cd .. $ ls abs cache db ftp local log ntop run spool tmp backup chroot empty lib lock mail opt service state www $ cd .. $ ls Segmentation fault $ pwd / $ alias ls alias ls='ls --color=auto' $ unalias ls $ ls bin dev home lib64 mnt proc sbin tmp var boot etc lib lost+found opt root sys usr $ Both i686 and x86_64 systems affected. Temperary solution: unalias ls, comment this alias in .bashrc's |

[2], I was able to get it working correctly again. I seriously doubt that
bash aliases have anything to do with this problem but you never know
with GNU crap.
