Description:
network adapter (r8169) stops working after hot reboot. Concretely, no IP can be retrieved from DHCP; manual IP does not work either.
The module is load correctly, no error in dmesg.

I file this bug to arch community rather than upstream, because the issue cannot be reproduced by installing/using manjaro kernel [https://github.com/manjaro/packages-core/blob/master/linux416/PKGBUILD]

Additional info:
* package version(s)
* config and/or log files etc.
linux 4.16.8-1

Steps to reproduce:
Dell Vostro 5468

You may want to compare arch and manjaro official kernels in
1. PKGBUILD (and patches)
2. kernel CONFIG
3. makepkg.conf
4. gcc (and its patches)

Closure request: workaround by installing r8168

So this has nothing to do with differences between the kernels mentioned, simply what module you chose to use?
