No version of Kdenlive (currently at 18.04.1) will work with FFMPEG 4.0, simply the video wont be imported to the project. Also with MLT 6.8 Kdenlive will crash wen using keyframes.

Did you bother to read the link?

Yes I read it and to the best of my knowledge the version number if all that is required to report this. Can you be more specific about what you want me to post? Also have you actually tried to open Kdenlive and import a clip with FFMÈG 4 to see what happens? Does it work for you? Here is a more detailed step by step then:

For FFMPEG 4.0 issue
1- Open Kdenlive.
2- Try to import a video clip to the project.
3- It wont import.

For MLT 6.8 issue (must be using ffmpeg < 4)
1- Open Kdenlive.
2- Import clip to project.
3- Add effect and apply keyframes.
4- Crash.

I can import just fine, and since you refuse to post any useful information (logs, backtraces, etc) as specified by the wiki, I guess we're done here.
