Details

Description:

I tried the Python command `import numpy` and it ends up with the error.

from . import multiarray
ImportError: libgfortran.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred:

raise ImportError(msg)
ImportError:
Importing the multiarray numpy extension module failed. Most
likely you are trying to import a failed build of numpy.
If you're working with a numpy git repo, try `git clean -xdf` (removes all
files not under version control). Otherwise reinstall numpy.

Original error was: libgfortran.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
----

I inspect the shared libraries, and found that the file `/usr/lib/python3.6/site-packages/numpy/core/multiarray.cpython-36m-x86_64-linux-gnu.so` requires `libgfortran.so.4`.
However, the gcc-libs package (8.1.0-1) now uses the updated revision `libgfortran.so.5`.

Additional info:
* python-numpy 1.14.3-1
* gcc-libs 8.1.0-1
