DetailsDescription:
When running octave after upgrading this morning, I got samuel ~ $ /usr/bin/octave /usr/lib/octave/4.4.0/exec/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/octave-gui: error while loading shared libraries: libgfortran.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Additional info: There was also a gcc 8 update, maybe the fortran stuff got left out by mistake? There does not seems to be any libgfortran in https://www.archlinux.org/packages/core/x86_64/gcc-fortran/ Steps to reproduce: Run anything requiring gfortran, I just realized the software R also has the problem, probably everything else using fortran when built will throw the same error. samuel ~ $ R /usr/lib64/R/bin/exec/R: error while loading shared libraries: libgfortran.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory |
