Details

Can be fixed by:
start konqeroror ->
go into settings -> configure konqueror -> plugins -> Plugins. tick off the "use artsdsp to pipe plugin sound throgh aRts" option

ensuring it uses alsa instead, if i'm not mistaken(which i could be) and removing one extra layer =)

the thing is to do this in a PKGBUILD i guess...

well kde defaults to use arts, if you don't like it disable it.
in kde4 this will change upstream
