doesn't work for me in opera and firefox .. does it work for anybody else? opera-mplayerplugin 3.17-1 works though if i copy over the files to the firefox plugin dir aswell.

it was a while since i compiled it and i might or might not have had to do some trickery to get it to compile. I sat severity to medium since this would affect 99% of users in some way.. I don't knwow hy it hasn't been reported yet..(it has been since for a long time) maybe arch users don't report obvious bugs? or maybe it's just me and this other guy on the forum experiencing the bug?
This task depends upon

ok so i:

1. uninstalled opera-mplayerplugin
2. ran sudo update-mime-database /usr/share/mime
3. ran sudo update-mime-database /opt/gnome/share/mime
4. installed 3.31

result: it now works with firefox (2.0) but not with opera which i get an error msg like:
opera: /usr/lib/opera/plugins/mplayerplug-in-qt.so: undefined symbol: gtk_widget_destroy

hope gnome/kde gets rid of their own mime stuff in new versions...

OK! I have now spent some hours trying different things and the only thing that works with opera is opera-mplayerplugin v. 3.25 without gtk (--enable-x. I also commented out the sed line but don't know if it mattered).

So the ideal thing here is to have opera-mplayerplugin (2.25)into repo aswell as that is currently the only one working with opera. You already have kmplayer(which works so-so for me i might add) for konqeror and mplayer-plugin which only works in firefox for me and mozplugger which doesn't work at all in any browsers for me.

get it in! I guess this also needs gecko-sdk as a dep unless you guys/author of mplayer can make it work otherwise. It's still better to just use some extra space however than spend hours upon hours trying to get it to work yourself =)

awaiting reply..
