Description:
I am using the xf86-video-ati drivers, and when I upgraded to this kernel version, the screen randomly blinks, sometimes going completely black. Desktop effects are no longer smooth as before. I can get the screen back by turning off desktop effects with Alt-Shift-F12, so I guess this is possibly a kwin problem ?? I was able to temporarily fix the issue by downgrading my kernel to 4.15.15-1-ARCH. Here is an excerpt of my journal, with repeating lines I attribute to the problem. I just switched to the xf86-video-amdgpu driver, and the issue is
still there. All post 4.15.15-1-ARCH kernels seem to be affected.
