Details

Samba places its mapping of windows SID -> linux UID in the LOCKDIR directory, which is set to /var/run/samba in the samba PKGBUILD file.
On reboot any stale files in /var/run get deleted, including this one.

Samba should probably be configured to have its lockdir somewhere that isn't wiped out on reboot. Gentoo linux uses /var/cache/samba.

Asking for that too. I've some Samba servers using group mapping and automatic printer driver installation but this info is located in some files stored in /var/run/samba where they are deleted on every system reboot.
