Description:
Recently GNOME user session is not reacting to rfkill switch events and according to Gnome devs it wasn't the GNOME issue but xkeyboard-config which lacked appropriate mapping. That mapping was already added in this commit:
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/xkeyboard-config/commit/?id=39927132729bcd8569716f4ccd3a2e3eadfaf186

Upgrading xkeyboard-config to this commit is supposed to fix the problem.
