gcc-libs does not contain libasan.a. this file is required for static asan, and is packaged by debian https://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=contents&keywords=libasan.a&mode=path and fedora https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/libasan-static. they package it separately, I guess Arch should package it together? or not, idrc, but it breaks my workflow to have it not exist at all. Additional info: * package version(s) gcc{,-libs} 7.3.1+20180312-2 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: gcc -fsanitize=address -static-libasan anything.c |
