Details

Sending a snapshot from the root FS fails since btrfs-progs 4.16.

Reverting the commit from the PR mentioned ( https://github.com/kdave/btrfs-progs/commit/c5dc299aff6b4ee3e3490a046fcf9bf8d1c41af5.patch ) makes things work again.

Does this not reintroduce the security issue that commit was fixing?
"Note that this does not properly fix this bug, but prevents a possible
security issue by unexpected usage of "btrfs send -p"."

It reintroduces a _possible_ security issue which is _not_ fixed by that commit.
My call was to temporarily fix a real breakage from a legit usage against quickly introduced security restriction.
But I didn't take long to get into this, If you think we should not, I'll move back.

I would just notify arch-security so it can be noted as known issue with 4.16-2.

now the  FS#58237 .patch is missing from repos/core-x86_64
