@BytEvil: Sorry for the long delay. Is this still relevant?

I've experienced similar issues with an ath10k (Qualcomm Atheros QCA986x/988x 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter), which turned out to be driver issues (which were luckily fixed after only a couple of months).
