DetailsEvery time I try to setup wpa_supplicant+madwifi+network profile in arch64 I receive a Kernel Panic.
I did some research and found that the kernel panic was when I tried using ath0 by 'ifconfig ath0 up' or by adding ath0 to my /etc/rc.conf. The wpa_supplicant or network profile had nothing to do with it. Today I tried setting up wireless in Arch i686 and I received NO kernel panic. Ath0 worked great, and everything went fine. This problem is arch64 specific. |

I myself run a madwifi card on my laptop without wpa and all is ok.
