Hi,

I have a Dell XPS 15 with a 4k monitor and I have an external monitor (also 4k@60Hz). I am using KDE and I apply the updates daily.

I followed the documentation to setup my system https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/HiDPI and it works great apart from one thing.

When I start application from the terminal (Konsole, Terminator, ...), the scale factor is not taken into consideration so the application is unusable.

For example, kate from the KDE start menu : great, scale factor of 2 is applied.
If I open a text file from the terminal using "kate my_text_file", kate starts with a weird not properly scaled window.
This is the same for all application (qt, gtk, ...).
For app like Kate, it is not a problem since it is possible to start it from the menu but some other app like "anaconda-navigator" does not have such menu entry so I cannot use them.

I currently don't know if it is a bug or I have a configuration problem somewhere.
I am looking for any advice or explanation that would help me figure out this problem because I am definitely missing the knowledge to know where to look.

Thank you.
