Description:
Hi, I've noticed several issues with this version that I've never come across in years of using Chromium. I do not know is this is specific to Arch or the errors are from the upstream.

1) The window widgets (minimize, maximize, close) in the top right corner are absolutely huge. They fill the whole space available to them. I've tried changing my DE theme but it's of no help. I use Arc-based themes mostly and the window widgets are huge with all of the ones I tried.

2) Chromium doesn't remember anymore which windows are minimized and which are visible on the desktop after a restart. After the restart, it just shows all of the windows on the desktop and none of them are minimized.

All these issues are new to 65.0.3325.146-1 and after downgrading to chromium-64.0.3282.186-1, they disappear and everything's back to normal.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
65.0.3325.146-1

* config and/or log files etc.
N/A

Steps to reproduce:
Install 65.0.3325.146-1 and observe window widgets and open two Chromium windows, minimize one and quit. Restart. Notice how both of them will be on the desktop.

Both sound like issues with your WM, not with Chromium itself.

Doug, I use Cinnamon and GNOME. Issue is with both. I don't think this is a DE issue. I've used the same setup for years and Chromium was fine. This latest update broke it.

First issue sounds like: https://crbug.com/819594 -- only problem is that the fix for that only targets GTK < 3.20 (which was two years ago). If you were to file a new bug about this upstream, be sure to specify the exact GTK theme you're using and also include the GTK version number.

The second issue might prove harder to track down, though it's most likely an upstream issue as well. You could try reproducing it with Chrome 65 and then file a report at https://crbug.com/ -- a quick search didn't turn up any existing open issues.

1) should be fixed with 65.0.3325.162.
EDIT: foutrelis was faster.

I added a comment about the first issue to https://crbug.com/819594#c25

The window button background size issue should be fixed upstream and I'll backport the patch in our next build.

The second issue is now tracked at https://crbug.com/827711
