A change in 4.15 "causes a kernel oops while trying to reassign a USB controller or USB HBA to the virtual machine. After community testing, reversing the patch was confirmed to solve the issue for multiple people."

It would be great if this patch could be applied to an upcoming point release without having to wait for 4.16

Can you please test if this is fixed in linux 4.15.6-1 currently in testing?

Have tried this now that it is in core and I didn't come across any problems so I'd say this can be closed. Thanks!!!
