After installing the new cura version, the options on the right (layer height, infill %, etc, etc) would not display properly. In addition, when selecting the "Monitor" context, the options for controlling the printer (home, move x, y, z, etc) did not display. (Both print options and monitor options appear at the same spot on the right-hand side of the window, the same Qt element I'd guess.) I read the console log and surmised that this line was the cause of the error:

2018-02-17 19:34:56,748 - WARNING - [(140403246613824)-MainThread] UM.Qt.QtApplication.__onQmlWarning [267]: file:///usr/share/cura/resources/qml/Sidebar.qml:5:1: module "QtQuick.Controls" version 2.1 is not installed

I had qt5-quickcontrols installed beforehand, and previous cura versions worked fine, but it seems that the new Cura version needs qt5-quickcontrols2 in order to display the options properly. However, it's not currently listed as a dependency for this package.
This task depends upon

I came across this same problem. The side bar is not visible after updating to Cura 3.2.1 . I found the solution[0] on Cura's github issue system. The sidebar is visible after qt5-quickcontrols2 is installed.

Please set qt5-quickcontrols2 as a dependency.

Should be fixed in uranium-3.2.1-3-any.pkg.tar.xz

Just tested it, and the problem is indeed fixed now that uranium depends on qt5-quickcontrols2. Thank you!
