DetailsDescription:
The configuration file at /etc/X11/xdm/archlinux/Xresources refers to Terminus-24 and Terminus-20 which are not supplied by the package terminus-font. This leads to a very plain font being used for the login screen. To be clear, terminus-font supplies a font called "xos4 Terminus" and does not supply Terminus-24. As a final complaint, the xdm-archlinux package also uses Comic Sans which is really embarrassing. Additional info: package versions: community/terminus-font 4.46-1 community/xdm-archlinux 0.5-4 config file (lines 12-14) Xlogin*promptFace:Terminus-24:style=Bold Xlogin*face:Terminus-20 Xlogin*failFace:Terminus-24:style=Bold Steps to reproduce: install both packages listed above and go to the xdm login screen |
