Everything is ok with "nvidia-dkms".

So you have the nvidiafb module loaded? If so, blacklist it.

Yes nvidiafb is loaded but it should be blacklisted with nvidia.conf in /usr/lib/modprobe.d from the "nvidia" package but it has no effect. (nvidiafb is blacklisted with "nvidia-dkms" and it's not loaded)

Hang on, I don't quite understand what you think should be changed in which package to fix this.

Sven, the package already blacklists the nouveau module, it should probably blacklist the nvidiafb module as well.

Wait, as of 390.25-11, it already does. Neros, are you sure you booted with that package installed?

Doug, yes of course, it was just an update after all. I even reinstall everything about nvidia/bbswitch/bumblebee to be sure but no luck and the only solution was to install "nvidia-dkms".

So if nvidiafb was already blacklisted, how the hell did you have it loaded?
