Description:

Ever since the last KDE Plasma update, the power button and brightness keys stopped working. They are recognized properly by the KDE shortcut system and if I manually kill the powerdevil process, systemd-logind kicks in and shuts my machine down when pressing the power button. Also, by using the slider (when clicking on the battery icon) brightness control is possible. I therefore conclude that 1) those special keys are recognized as such; 2) PowerDevil is running and has access to those keys (as it blocks systemd-logind); 3) PowerDevil is able to execute the desired actions.

I'm using a MacBook Pro 11,1.

Additional info:
* local/powerdevil 5.12.1-1 (plasma)

I have the same problem with the powerbutton on my hp laptop. Pressing the button does nothing (should hibernate). If I use systemd to hibernate, it works.

Problem since:
Kde Plasma upgrade from 5.11.x to 5.12.1

Best regards, berni
