The latest package (2.48.15v4) has dropped the graphical unison-gtk2 build, but the svn changelog does not mention any particular reason for doing so.

Since upstream still provides gtk2 support, could it be re-enabled (e.g. as split package)?

The build system has changed, making it quite painful to build two different versions, so I figured I'd disable the gtk2 UI and see if anyone noticed. :)
Since you did I'll come up with an updated build. No worries.

Let me know if unison-2.48.15-2 from [testing] works as expected. Cheers.

The restoration of the GTK support is incomplete. The .desktop file references a "unison-x11" executable which was previously just a symlink to "unison-gtk2" (analogous to unison being a link to unison-text).

Either the link should be restored, or the desktop file update to refer to unison-gtk2
