wxgtk2 and wxgtk3 are packaged separately because some applications require one or the other. We shouldn't have a single "wxpython" package and go switching it from one to the other like happened recently. This broke at least one appplication for me. We should follow the convention used by the wxgtk packages and distribute e.g. wxpython-gtk2 and wxpython-gtk3... |
