Description:
Install CD 2018.01.01 does not boot in VirtualBox. It freezes after "Probing EDD (edd=off to disable)... ok" Same with 2017.12.01 CD but I didn't test anything older. Additional info: * package version(s): N/A * config and/or log files etc: N/A Steps to reproduce: Make a new virtual machine in VirtualBox 4.3.36_Ubuntu with 4 CPUs, 2GB RAM, NAT networking, VDI hard disk, defaults. Attach archlinux-2018.01.01-x86_64.iso Boot it Choose first option in arch boot menu See if freeze after EDD message. |

Can you try with a less ancient version of virtualbox? Works fine
for me in 5.2; upstream support for 4.3 ended in 2015.
