Thanks for the notice. You forgot to add them when the package was in AUR. :)

Why do we need so many dependencies for Firefox Sync to work? Could you maybe reduce them in the upstream code?

Not really possible or I need to recode python-request-hawk in Eolie...

And the real deps tree is:
Eolie -> requests-hawk -> mohawk

Okay, I added these packages as optional dependencies to eolie 0.9.18-3.

I think you should check if requests_hawk module is available in the upstream code here:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/gnumdk/eolie/blob/master/eolie/mozilla_sync.py#L38
