Description:

After updating geany to the latest stable version in the Community package repository, I am no longer able to start it.


Additional info:

* snippet from the update log:

(geany:26030): Gtk-WARNING **: Allocating size to GtkScrollbar 0x563b290a7200 without calling gtk_widget_get_preferred_width/height(). How does the code know the size to allocate?
Segmentation fault (core dumped)


Steps to reproduce:

Upgrade to the latest version geany (I used pacman -Syyu as root) and try to launch it.

Please backup and remove the ~/.config/geany folder, and try again. If it still happens please attach a proper backtrace.

Dear Balló György,

Thank you for your fast response!

I removed the configuration folder and now Geany starts properly. I will re-configure it later.
I was initially thinking of removing the configuration but decided it was better ask first - obviously a suboptimal decision. :-)
This can now be closed.

Maybe some previous configuration options or enabled plugins are incompatible with GTK+ 3, which is used in the new release.
