Description:
Upgrade of GTK-Engine-Murrine 0.98.2-3 causes XFCE desktop icons text/shadow's to become misaligned. The white text shifts to the left, while the shadow stays centered. Tried many different GTK themes, all had the same result. My system is using an Nvidia card with the LTS kernel.

Steps to reproduce:
Upgrade gtk-engine-murrine & reboot. Desktop icon text becomes misaligned.

Temporary solution:
Downgrade to gtk-engine-murrine 0.98.2-2 & reboot fixes the issue.

Here you go. I just tested on my work machine that's running Intel drivers and the result is the same. Downgrade to 0.98.2-2 fixes the issue.

The patch was already applied to Debian, Fedora and Ubuntu, and it's required to prevent crash with bitmap fonts.

Murrine is currently unmaintained by upstream, but there are some downstream bug reports about this issue:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=831678
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk2-engines-murrine/+bug/1598316

At least it was fixed in arc-gtk-theme and in numix-gtk-theme:
https://github.com/horst3180/arc-theme/commit/ee4485647d81378c87ea3b226457cceedd2bdecd
https://github.com/numixproject/numix-gtk-theme/commit/d2fecfd0802eff30f3b935540900d0af89d161c9

I recommend you to report this problem for each GTK+ themes that use the Murrine engine and not fixed yet.

It seems to be with every theme. What I've done in the meantime was follow the info here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/801460/how-to-center-text-in-xfce-desktop

And run the command: "xfconf-query -c xfce4-desktop -p /desktop-icons/center-text -n -t bool -s false"

This is fixing the issue for me while still allowing gtk-engine-murrrine to be updated to the current 0.98.2-3 release and is working on every theme I've tried so far.
